Garg Receives Advocacy Award

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) recently awarded Anjali Garg, MD, FAAP, an 2017 MSU College of Human Medicine alumna, with a 2021 Critical Care Advocacy Award.

Garg is a pediatric critical care medicine fellow within the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins in Bethesda, Maryland, and is a member of the AAP Section on Minority Health, Equity and Inclusion. Dr. Garg's research interests include social and health disparities, and trauma-related outcomes in the PICU.

The award is given annually for excellence in critical care. The academy includes 67,000 pediatricians, each committed to the optimal physical, mental, and social health and wellbeing for all infants, children, adolescents, and young adults.
